How do young Amsterdammers
eat, sleep and play?

Our research

Eating, sleeping and playing of little Amsterdammers: how does that work in practice?

Much research has been done on young children, but little is known about their normal daily lives. Insights can increases scientific knowledge and help improve care for all Amsterdam residents in the long term. As a token of our appreciation you will receive a €20 gift card per interview. Are you in? Then we would like to interview you during pregnancy and afterwards about your expectations and experiences with raising a child.

Co-creation

Do you want to collaborate with us? We are looking for parents who want to develop ideas about how we can ensure that all young children in our region can grow up well and healthily, and provide families with good opportunities to care for their children. What makes this difficult and what should be organized differently? We want to share these experiences and ideas to improve the living environment together and our research. How can we reach parents who are not yet participating in our research? And what would you want us to research?

Conversation

We hear from parents that they enjoy talking about their child and what they experience as a parent(s).

"It's all still quite close now, but maybe in a few years, when you see it again... It's just like photos. (...) Yes, then you forget things and when you read it back sometimes it's nice like, oh yes, that's how we thought about it at the time, or that's how it was then. I like that"
